I today came across a pregnant woman in second life. Not that its my first time but still it striked me .Raising a child is really one of the biggest responsibilities a person can take on themselves. So why get pregnant in Second life
Honest Answer : I don't know. My logical answer : Practice/ fun/ realism.
I shall boldly accept inworld and here too that I hate when the scripts or hud whatever that is..gives a message about how the baby is feeling. I have only tried to "click" on 1 baby and believe me I did not like it. Excuse me for my bluntness but yes its still an NPC - Non Player Character.. IF I was to show my emotions for a randomly created baby which does not even have AI .. I would rather choose to fall in love with the gorgeous women of Prince of Persia games or Lara Croft or my character's gf in sims.
But there is another side to this family formations in second life.There are a lot of adoption agencies in Second life. You may call me double standard if someone wants to call someone mom or dad I guess its fine.After all you are not bumping your head to a robot or click a prim to say "Hello my dear son, How are you today ? Need some money ?" And then pay you 1000L$.. If it was that..I would get atleast 5 dads in Second life.
Coming back to the topic I have met quite a few people who were quite unfortunate to not have a family or imperfect family in real life.They can really take good advantage of the adoption centers in second life.And give you the peace of having a somewhat distant family if not real.
I have been asked quite a few times if I want to have a son or daughter.. And my answer always has been.. Do me a favor.. find yourself a rich hot submissive mother..then you will have me as your dad.
So whats my verdict ?
I may be am too young (puppy eyes ) to understand the concept of getting pregnant virtually. Anyways I don't like virtual pregnancy. Some people don't like homosexuals.. correct them first then me :)
